Loyalism, Orangeism and fascism have another coming together in Liverpool….

Before I go on, please find an update on our fascist friends of Combined Ex-Forces here and then read on…..

Fascists and loyalists in Liverpool continue to mobilise together and last Saturday they organised a demo at St George’s Hall, Liverpool in support of the rioters in Belfast protesting against the democratic vote taken by Belfast Town Hall to remove the Union flag from being flown 365 days a year.

Loyalist/Fascist Protesters Liverpool

For 90 years, nationalists have been told by upholders of the orange sectarian state that democracy upheld the right of the 6 counties to remain part of the ‘not-so’ United Kingdom. The real face of the undemocratic nature of  loyalism and orangeism has been seen since with persistent rioting, attacks against police, elected politicians and nationalists in a street-based attack against the democratic process.

In Liverpool,  the real connections made between Loyalists, Orange Order members, and the fascists and racists of the North West Infidels & Combined ex-forces continue to be clearly seen, as evidenced on facebook….

And if anyone thought that the CXF were extinct, then think again….they ‘haven’t gone away you know’ and the comments below by CXF were subsequently removed by NWI as it may be the case that even loyalists are beginning to realise the coming together of all ‘nationalists, patriots and loyalists’ to support ulster is not always a good thing, especially when they are Nazi’s, fascists and racists……

The real terrorist supporters in Liverpool?? – Mersey pair admit UVF links

Remember this? I do….so the next time a member of the Independent Orange Order, Derry Club,The North West Infidels, Combined Ex Forces or National Front go on about ‘IRA bands’ in Liverpool remind them of who the terrorist supporters really are and who have been dealth with by the security forces in this country and received convictions for being members of terrorist organisations. No, not members of the Irish community but members of Liverpool’s Loyalist/Orange community. Appears rather ironic doesn’t it that these people can come out onto the streets harassing and intimidating lawful and peaceful Irish community marches in Liverpool, yet at the same time, hide their own active support and links with terrorist paramilitaries such as the Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF). Here’s some information on the UVF:

The Ulster Volunteer Force (UVF) is a loyalist paramilitary group in Northern Ireland. It was formed in late 1965 or early 1966 and named after the Ulster Volunteer Force of 1913. Its first leader was Gusty Spence, a former British soldier. The group’s volunteers undertook an armed campaign of almost thirty years during The Troubles. It declared a ceasefire in 1994, although sporadic attacks continued until it officially ended its armed campaign in May 2007.
The UVF’s declared goals were to combat Irish republicanism – particularly republican paramilitaries, and to maintain Northern Ireland’s status as part of the United Kingdom. The vast majority (more than two-thirds)[1][2] of its 481 known victims were Catholic civilians. During the conflict, its deadliest attack in Northern Ireland was the McGurk’s Bar bombing, which killed fifteen civilians. The group also carried out some attacks in the Republic of Ireland, the most deadly of which were the Dublin and Monaghan bombings which killed 33 civilians, the highest number of deaths in a single day during the conflict. The no-warning car bombings had been carried out by units from the Belfast and Mid-Ulster Brigades. The Mid-Ulster Brigade was also responsible for the Miami Showband ambush, in which three members of the popular Irish cabaret band The Miami Showband were shot dead at a bogus military vehicle checkpoint outside Newry by gunmen dressed in British Army uniforms. Two UVF men were accidentally blown up in this attack.
The group is a designated terrorist organisation in the United Kingdom and a proscribed organisation in the Republic of Ireland.

Irish Out…..

Looks like Combined Ex-Forces just can’t help themselves anymore when it comes to venting hate against the Irish in Liverpool. We’ve had attacks on Irish parades/marches this year by this group and their allies within the Loyalist/Orange community, and now the targeting of Irish pubs in Liverpool (see above).

This is a very cynical attempt by this racist paramilitary group to demonise ‘Irishness’ and the Irish community in Liverpool and spread hate and mistrust amongst the wider community against Irish people in the city.

The image in their message is very clear…….’Irish Out’ and support for Loyalist paramilitaries…..

HOPE not hate blog: The shame of Kevin the Poppy Nazi

http://www.hopenothate.org.uk/blog/article/2353/the-shame-of-kevin-the-poppy-nazi

This Yorkshire-based Nazi has been spotted, along with the NWI, NF, CFX and Liverpool loyalists, harrassing the International Brigades Commemoration held in Liverpool last October. This highlights again the growing reach that the far-right has developed across this country, with Liverpool been the focus in the north of England during 2012 as a result of nazi targetting of Irish community parades/marches in this city.

More to come on this in the near future….

Kiss my ass Pogues……..

I have mixed views about ‘Irish’ pubs in Liverpool. They play a positive role within Liverpool Irish cultural life in terms of socialising, networking and a ‘bit’ of culture.

But when a flippant comment is made (above) that be-littles the importance of the Irish language and Irish language speakers themselves, that really pisses me off.

Sometimes, the mask slips with these pubs and what you see is a commercial enterprise that feeds off the positives associated with ‘Irishness’ and profiteering remains the primary aim. But when it comes to the real problems facing our community, for example inequality, poverty, even racism…they bloody run a mile. So Pogue Mahones on Seel Street you really can pog ma thoin!

Welcome to Liverpool Mr President…….

Above is the Great Hunger (An Gorta Mor) Memorial in the grounds of St Lukes Church, Liverpool. Erected by the Liverpool Great Hunger Commemoration Committee in 1997 to mark the 150th anniversary of Ireland’s very own holocaust, the monument stands as a testament to the often barbaric involvement of Britain in Ireland through the centuries and man’s inhumanity toward his fellow human beings.

Next Wednesday  Ireland’s new President, Michael D Higgins will pay his own tribute to the victims of the Great Hunger when he lays a wreath together with Liverpool’s Mayor, Joe Anderson, in memory of the one million that died and our very own ancestors who survived the man-made disaster, who made their homes in Liverpool and who have contributed hugely to the development of this city since. Hope to see you there and the details are as follows:

The President of Ireland, Michael D Higgins, will be visiting the Memorial to the Great Hunger to lay a wreath in the presence of the Lord Mayor of Liverpool.

Date: Wednesday 21 November 2012

Time: 3.40pm

Location: St Luke’s Gardens (churchyard of the “Bombed-out Church”), Leece St, Liverpool

You are very welcome to attend this special occasion.

Nazi’s failed Nuremberg-esque protest in Liverpool against the Irish community….

image

Last night, I along with other members of the Irish community, antifascists, trade unionists and ordinary members of Liverpool’s public challenged the Nazi fascist group, North West Infidels in their so-called protest against IRA marches in Liverpool and more  bizarrely the Mayor of Liverpool’s (Joe Anderson) support for such marches??. The protest by the  20 or so diehards from the NWI and some local loyalists proved to be a bit of a damp squib. There was no ‘national’ mobilization and from NWI’s facebook page which promised something akin to a candle lit Nuremberg rally, the racists were more than outnumbered 3:1 and their protest lasted 45 mins before  Merseyside Police shepherded them down to the back of Water Street.

image

As explained throughout this blog, fascists, racists and Nazi’s from the North West Infidels, Combined Ex-Forces, National Front and Liverpool’s Loyalist/Orange community are determined to drive the Irish community off the streets of Liverpool and this was another attempt at such by cloaking the protest against the ‘IRA’ but the reality being  once they manage to clear the Irish off the streets it wont be long before other communities, trade unionists and progressive organisations are targeted thereafter. That’s why it was so important that the Nazi’s were faced down last night, outnumbered and sent packing with their tails between their legs and will continue to be challenged in this way.

image

It also must be noted that last week, two fascists who were arrested in Liverpool during the Cairde Na hEireann International Brigades Commemoration appeared in Liverpool Magistrates Court and were fined £300+ for public order offences. One of them, Mike Mossley is a member of the fascist paramilitary group Combined Ex-Forces and turned up that day in full British military fatigues. But I like to remember Mike in the pictures below, first as Nick Griffin’s best mate and secondly, proudly being the Nazi that he really is…..I know what your thinking, you simply couldn’t make this stuff up….
